The first ever step to join the Thieves Guild in Elder Scrolls: Oblivion Remastered is to get arrested and get jailed.
Commit a crime in order to get arrested. Doing any crime allows the guard to catch players off guard and arrest players in the first place. Keep in mind that committing any crime can trigger an arrest. Stealing any item is one of the simplest crimes that players can commit. The item has a red text to trigger the arrest while stealing an item. Select the Sleep option when interacting with the bedroll after getting inside the jail.
A message will pop up stating that “Do you just want to serve your time?”. Now, choose the “Yes” option to get a bail from the jail. Wait until the Myvryna Arano appears after getting out of jail. Speak with her to gain a mysterious note to read. Finish reading the note to trigger the Finding the Thieves Guild quest that allows players to join the Thieves Guild. We recommend using the Wait Timer mechanic and setting it to at least 4 hours if players don’t want to wait for Myvryna Arano.
More To the Garden of Dareloth

The mysterious note tells the players to make their way to the Garden of Dareloth in the Imperial City Waterfront at midnight for a meetup. Utilize the Wait Timer mechanic to fast forward the time to midnight after getting to the meetup location. Players will come across two NPCs in the area at midnight. Move to the southern part of the Waterfront District at 11 p.m. These two NPCs are Armand Christophe and Methredhel, whom players will talk to. Players need to have a chat with Armand Christophe to choose the Mysterious Note dialogue option. Join the Thieves Guild dialogue option will pop up on the player’s screen. The initiation will not initiate until Amusei appears. Players need to be patient and just wait for the NPC to show up before beginning the initiation process.

Lockpick the door and move in towards the desk. Check the desk and obtain the diary. Speak with Armand Christophe again once players steal the diary. Go into the fences, merchants who sell the goods that players steal from others. Choose to pay the beggars in any city. This allows players to gain information about potential marks. One of the Thieves quests asks to rob a mage, but he will fight back. Players will get removed for murdering a colleague if they kill him while being a Mage Guild member.
