Houses in Hogwarts Legacy
In Hogwarts Legacy, there are four houses you can choose your preferred house for you from one of these houses.
- Gryffindor House for Daring
- Ravenclaw House for Curiosity
- Hufflepuff House for Loyalty
- Slytherin House for Ambition
How to select a house in Hogwarts Legacy
You can choose your preferred house in two following ways:
- By linking your Harry Potter Fan Club and WB Games accounts
- By Sorting Hat in-game quiz
Sorting Hat Quiz in Hogwarts Legacy
At the very beginning of the game, you will arrive at Hogwarts for the Sorting Ceremony. Professor Weasley will place the Sorting Hat on your head. The Sorting Hat will allow you to choose your preferred house by asking a few questions.
First, you will have to select one of these options:
- I can’t wait to start classes.
- I can’t wait to explore.
You can select any of these options because this will not affect your house sorting.
Then you will be asked “Hmm. I wonder. Hmm. I detect something in you. A certain sense of – hmm – what is it?” by the Sorting Hat.
After that question you will get these four options:
- Daring
- Curiosity
- Loyalty
- Ambition
You can select any of these options. Your selection will help you in sorting your house, as every option has a respective house. If you want to change your house assigned by your choice of the selected option, you can still change your house by house options. This will be your last chance to select a house for you, you will not be able to change your house once you are done with this.
Difference between houses in Hogwarts Legacy
There is no main difference between houses in this game, but still, there are some minor differences between these houses. These minor differences will not affect your gameplay story, so feel free to choose a house that you like.
Common Room
The theme of your common room will be different according to your selected house.
Color
The color of your house and your clothes will be dependent on your selected house.

Gameplay Dialogues
Some dialogues will be different according to your house name, but these dialogues mainly will not affect your main story.
Quests
The main story quest after Trials of Merlin will be different according to your selected house, but you will get into the quest Jackdaw’s Rest after completion of your respected different quest. You will get the following different quests according to your selected house:
- If you choose Gryffindors House, you will get The Hunt for the Missing Pages, quest.
- If you choose Hufflepuffs House, you will get the Prisoner of Love quest.
- If you choose Ravenclaws House, you will get the Ollivanders Heirloom quest.
- If you choose Slytherins House, you will get the Scrope’s Last Hope quest.
