Fire Emblem Engage is a tactical role-playing game developed by Intelligent Systems and published by Nintendo. It was released on January 20, 2023.
The background of the story is that “One Thousand years ago a Fell Dragon Somborn had a hold on the land of Elyos. But after, this Fell Dragon was sealed by a group of powerful warriors. This bought peace to Elyos. Now, the seal that is holding back the Fell Dragon Somborn has begun to weaken.”
The main goal of this game is to seek out the 12 Emblem Rings, for the peace of Elyos.

Chapter 7 Dark Emblem Walkthrough
Chapter 7 in Fire Emblem Engage is called Dark Emblem. In this chapter, you will have to complete a Prologue and the story battle at the border of Brodia. This chapter will also unlock the new features of the Divine Dragon’s base Somniel.
New units in Chapter 7 Dark Emblem
Three new units will join your team at the start of the battle.
- Alcryst
- Lapis
- Citrinne
Story background of Dark Emblem
Chapter 7 Dark Emblem will start with a cut scene, in which three units Alcryst, Lapis and Citrinne will join the team of the Divine Dragon Alear.
Your team will be attacked by Princess Hortensia and her soldiers. Princess Hortensia will demand all Emblems. But the Divine Dragon Alear will refuse her demand. This will start a battle between Princess Hortensia and the Divine Dragon Alear.
Introduction of Boss Enemy Princess Hortensia
Princess Hortensia is a Pegasus Unit. She has the corrupted Emblem with Lucina. This Emblem gives her a backup and gives her a power that when she attacks the opponents, every ally within two squares also attacks the same ally.
Battle Walkthrough of Dark Emblem
Before the battle of Dark Emblem, three new units Alcryst, Citrinne, and Lapis will join Divine Dragon Alear’s team. Lapis has heavy weapons, these weapons will help to move the enemy units from their spaces. You can switch Lapis heavy weapons with a regular sword.
To defeat Princess Hortensia, push Hortensia with the help of Louis and attack Hortensia with the two ranged bow units (Etie and Alcryst will be recommended to attack Hortensia).
After the defeat of Princess Hortensia, chapter 7 will be completed.
