Fire Emblem Engage – Chapter 9 A Clash of Forces Walkthrough

Fire Emblem Engage is a tactical role-playing game developed by Intelligent Systems and published by Nintendo. It was released on January 20, 2023.

The background of the story is that “One Thousand years ago a Fell Dragon Somborn had a hold on the land of Elyos. But after, this Fell Dragon was sealed by a group of powerful warriors. This bought peace to Elyos. Now, the seal that is holding back the Fell Dragon Somborn has begun to weaken.”

The main goal of this game is to seek out the 12 Emblem Rings, for the peace of Elyos.

In this walkthrough, we will discuss Chapter 9 – A Clash of Forces. So, let’s get started!

Chapter 9 – A Clash of Forces Walkthrough

Chapter 9 of Fire Emblem Engage is called A Clash of Forces. In this chapter, you will have to save the Royal Family of Bordia and the Bordia Castle from the enemies. In order to save Bordia Castle and the Royal Family of Bordia, you will have to get into a battle with Princess Ivy and her soldiers.

In this chapter, Princess Ivy will come with her father King Hyacinth. Princess Ivy will come without any Engage Ring, but still, she will be a strong enemy for you. The battle will take place at the Fort on the Border.

New units in Chapter 9 A Clash of Forces

You will see only one new unit that will join the team of Divine Dragon Alear, in Chapter 9 of the Fire Emblem Engage.

Jade (You will only be able to chat with her, as Diamant or Alear)

Chapter 9 A Class of Forces Battle Walkthrough

Try to use High defense Lance Armored units in this battle, because there are many Mage enemy units. Use an archer unit against Princess Ivy, because Princes Ivy is a flier mage unit. Use the Sigurd’s Emblem with Alfred, this will help you to reach the fort early than the Zelkov or Kagetsu.

To reach the fort earlier than the Zelkov or Kagetsu is very important because if your enemies will reach the fort first, they will spawn new enemies that will cause more difficulty to defeat Princess Ivy.

The use of Diamant will allow you to recruit a new unit Jade. Divine Dragon Alear can also recruit Jade but this will waste Alear’s turn.

Once the battle will get started, try to spread your units and take the control of fort with the help of Sigurd’s Emblem as early as you can. Then interact with the Jade by using Diamant. After interacting with Jade, Jade will be able to help you with her abilities.

After recruiting jade to Alear’s team, you will have to kill Zelkuv and Kagetsu. After the defeat of Zelkuv and Kagetsu you will be able to heal your units without the use of any item.

Once the healing will be done, attack Princess Ivy with mage attacks and follow-up attacks.
