In the Indigo Disk the second DLC of Pokemon Scarlet And Violet, many new Pokemon are added to the game. One of these is Cottonee. It is one of the powerful Grass/Fairy Pokemon from Gen 5 which can evolve into Whimsicott. It is a small circular ball of cotton which scatters into cotton when get attacked by enemies. It has the ability of Prankster, Infiltrator and a hidden ability of Cholophyll. It resists Water, Grass, Electric, Fighting, Ground, and Dark and immune to Dragon.

How to catch Cottonee
Cottonee can be found on the northern side of Coastal Biome near the water west of Coastal Plaza. On searching the area you will encounter the Cottonee which you can catch.
How to evolve Cottonee into Whimsicott
Cottonee can be evolved into the Whimsicott very easily. There are no other requirements, all you need to have is a Sun Stone. You may find the Sun Stone in the area where you got the Cottonee. Sun Stone is a common glowing item used for evolving and can be found pretty easily on the ground throughout the Terarium. You can also purchase Sun Stone from Blueberry Academy’s School Store for 250 Blueberry Points.
Follow the steps to Evolve Cottonee into Whimsicott.
- Collect the Sun Stone
- Go to Other Items tab in your Inventory and Select the Sun Stone
- Select the Cottonee that you want to Evolve.
After that, your Cottonee will get evolve into Whimsicott.
