This guide is about taking the Faceless One, Chisel of Oblivion down in Blasphemous 2.
Faceless One is the tutorial boss and the first boss in Blasphemous 2. The fight happens at Repose of the Silent One and it cannot be skipped. It won’t give you that much pain or challenge to take him down although it will get you through the importance of understanding the signs of attack and reacting to those attacks. In this guide, we are going to take the Faceless One down.
How to defeat Faceless One, Chisel of Oblivion
As mentioned earlier, Faceless One, Chisel is the first tutorial boss in Blasphemous 2 which cannot be skipped. But it is effortless to get him over and turn him down.
He only possesses three skills and by using the ability to read his attacks and react to them when the attack is over, we can simply turn him down
Wheel Toss Attack
Faceless One will open the attack on you by moving into the air and throwing its large-sized wheel upon you onto the ground and will repeat it periodically. Faceless will move high in the air and throw the wheel towards you. The wheel, if it falls onto you, will give you significant damage. So, it should be avoided at all costs.
To prevent the wheel, you need to see when the Faceless leaps into the ground, wait for a moment, and move forward to get out from the wheel’s trajectory. After that, the Faceless One will fall in front of you, where you can do your own attacks on him.
Wheel Callback
Soon after the Wheel Toss attack, he will call the wheel back to him. He will draw his arm outward to call the wheel back to him and the wheel will start moving towards him by rolling over the ground.
As soon as you see him extending his arm outward, stop attacking him if you are going to, and be ready to jump over the wheel. Once he has the wheel back in his arms, Faceless One will again attack you either with his Wheel Toss ability or Spinning Wheel ability.
Spinning Wheel
The spinning wheel is the final attack of the Faceless One, in which he raises the wheel above his arms and makes it spin violently while moving forward to attack you. It can cause massive damage to you if you come across it.
This attack can easily be avoided if you know the sign of a Spinning Wheel attack. You know that the Faceless One is going to do a Spinning Wheel attack if you see him raising the Wheel above him with his arms with a red bloodstream around it. In this attack, the red color will be across the wheel so you can guess he is going to do a Spinning Wheel attack.
To get safe from this attack, you can jump over the Faceless Ones before reaching to you and start attacking him as soon as you are on the ground.
Only a few attacks will be enough if you get a chance because the wheel will still be in his possession, so he can instantly do a Spinning Wheel or Wheel toss attack.
